Wow, Talk About A Temp Drop!
« on: July 13, 2011, 01:11:03 PM »

Like a lot of other folks, we've been up in the 100s w/ high indexs, for days now. Then, suddenly, a thunderstorm (that was predicted  ::) ) starts rolling in and within minutes, we are now sitting at 79 degrees! Very little rain though (and we could have used that, for sure), but the temp drop sure does help.  ;)

Can you send a little of that our way?  No relief in sight for us Texas folk.

We've been getting some rain just north of ya. It's too late for most of my garden though.

Buddy, if there was anyway, I sure would have sent some your way. Between the heat and dry spell, we aren't doing too well either. Maybe we ALL will get some relief. That thunderstorm that was coming our way, must have mostly veered to the North side of us (check what Radam posted)

Man, I hear that. We must have just gotten the edge of that rain. I don't have a garden, but, when I run the mower, I get a huge "Dust Storm".

Be happy to Gordo, if only. It's been like spring around here, a crappy spring at that. I wouldn't mind a few days with high heat. Of course "high" is a relative term around here. if it's 85 people start complaining....

Enjoy it while you can, Bill. Back in the oven next week, I think.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

We're at 83 degrees here now and are back under an excessive heat watch, as temps are
predicted to go back up.

You are so right Bob. would have been nice if it would last for a bit longer. But, that;s the way it goes, eh?;)

Glad the weather channel dropped the temp on Thursday down to 102 from 107. I feel much better now. :)  ???

I've got a few tomato plants that I put on my deck and near my hot tub (which has not had a fire in it in a long time), and they're the only ones that are starting to produce. I water them daily. I have a routine that keeps them alive. Get off work, come home, roll a cig, grab a beer and go outside to water the tomatoes. We really haven't gotten a whole lot of rain, but the little we've gotten has done a lot! I may actually have to mow my yard soon!  :o
