« on: July 11, 2011, 12:42:59 PM »
I just bought this and I need alot of help getting parts and getting it up and running. I need a rear fender, airbox, exhaust collars and alot more. I'm seventeen and bought this as a project bike for me and my dad any advice would be great to have. Like anything i should be worried about or things that could help me along the way. thanks again

I have a rear fender, and airbox  if you need it.

As far as getting it up and running... we'll need a bit more info than that. Like what's wrong with it.

Here's a good place to start if you have questions about specific things:

You picked a great bike, I also have a 78 CB750K, and I love it.

Exhaust collars? Do you mean the collars and inserts that were used on the 77' 78' exhaust, or are you talking about the spigots that were used on earlier models that the pipes actually clamp to?

The stock exhaust is shown, parts 1 and 2 are used to secure the stock pipe flange to the exhaust port on the head of the 78' 750K.

Thank you for getting back to me, yeah if you have the fender and the airbox I would love to get them off of you for the right price. About the collars I wouldn't know I bought the bike with no carbs no exhaust at all and it just needs alot of things. Right now I have the headers and the mufflers but nothing else thanks again.

Post a pict of the exhaust pipes (where they would connect to the engine). Is there a small flange on the end of each of the pipes? If so, they should be period correct for the 77'-78'.

A digital camera is definintely a tool to keep handy. Some questions just can't be answered without seeing the problem.  Although xSmooth69x has had pretty good luck with some crudely drawn diagrams. :)
