Any of you guys who would like to participate in the Oz leg of the SOHC World Tour can register your interest here with Jerry.

At the moment, Mick (Retro Rocket) is doing a great job with the ground work seeking interest from those who would like to be a part of this event.

We don't know how this is all going to come together at this stage, but one thing is for sure, Godzilla will be here for a visit and to use Jerry's words, all we have to do is to join the dots - EASY.

We want to show Godzilla a good time while he is here, and also to give him an opportunity to check out our great big garden before he travels on to Europe.

This will be a great opportunity for everyone involved to be a part of something pretty unique.

Ok, Terry is now officially the Coordinator/Team Leader for the Oz run.

Good one mate.

Let's get everyone together here and work out a plan of attack.

We've got a lot of good input from a lot of good men now.

I am going to be pushing #$%* up hill trying to get a bike ready buy i will do all i can to help.....

Okay - count me in for a bit of a Melbourne run, may not be a full day ride (depends on a regulator and a carbie needle) but a cross town trip is do-able, particularly if I am with other riders.

OK guys, I'm totally confused so please help me. I thought that my "Draft Terry" attempt was going to be successful in light of some input he had made about state leaders over in Team Kiwi but I have recently learned that he will not be able to be the Team Leader/Coordinator. Sorry to Terry for my assumption. Guess there was no clear answer. Scottly said in Team Kiwi thread that he thought Retro Rocket had volunteered?! What is our solution? Do we have an interested party that would like to volunteer?

I'd like to be in it - but don't have my 750 anymore, I do have my cx500 - let me know if that''s passable as an OHC bike.

I am trying to get as many people interested in this relay as possible , and don't mind helping out, but i go away quite often for work and can't guarantee anything for certain, i don't even have a bike up and running currently. I'm doing a "Jerry" and taking forever to get the bloody things up and running. What i think we need are coordinators from each state, {our states are HUGE} so, as we get more and more interest we will work it out from there. Looks like the Aussie leg will be "team organised chaos".....

Sorry if I added to the confusion, guys. Retro, are you willing to be the OZ coordinator, or would you rather be a regional/state coordinator?
Also, to all folks down-under; you can help get Godzilla across your great expanses, whether or not you have a running SOHC. Support crews carrying fuel, spare parts, and refreshments can make long rides much more comforable.

Bikeboy is down around Geelong, not far from Terry?
There's Cruzin69 in Adelaide along with Silverback1 & Paulmac.

CB7fiddy in Lismore, but he hasn't been active since last October.

F20BAS is just North of Mackay by the looks of it.

I reckon if GZ crosses the Tasman to Terry, send him North vial as many of us as we can muster.
Maybe Greyhound for a trip to Darwin for Mick7504 to go for a cruise, down to Adelaide on the bus again for a trip aound the vineyards with the SA guys, then back on the bus for the Nullabor trip to Gonzo.
Leave Perth for the European leg.

I've got a good feeling that we're on the right track here guys.

From State to State/Territory, I think that factoring in alternative methods of transport for GZ is a good idea.
The distances are enormous and it is a harsh environment for a motorcyclist in the outback.
It certainly is doable, but I think that this has to be considered.

The use of some non SOHC bikes is something else to be decided.
A few guys have indicated their desire to participate but cannot meet that requirement.
Myself included, having no road registered SOHC's which would attract some unwanted attention from the constabulary if one of them ventured out.

Once we get a list of riders/participants, work out which route GZ is going to take and how and when, we'll be well on our way getting this all together.
This is just how the situation for the Oz leg is and if we all work together, it'll be a piece of p1ss.

Hi Frosty, feel free to send anyone a PM with a link to this page. I sent out 38PM's and the only one's i got on your list was CB7fiddy, and cruzin69. I just did one pm and before i sent it i just copied it so all i had to do was paste it into each PM. I no longer have the PM i sent but i just gave a brief description of whats going on and a link to the relevant threads.

Scottly, it looks like i am having a bit to do with the whole thing but our states are huge { trip roung OZ around 20,000 -30,000 +kilometers} and has only 5 states and 2 territories so they are all huge and would be better served by coordinators in each state if possible. I am very busy at present as i have said, just recently i was away for 2 weeks with no computer access, this can happen at any time, just like it does to Terry. Our effort may boil down to a few of us pitching together to get this done, unless anyone else can step up. I am driving the misses crazy as i try to work out how to get a bike together in a hurry.

I know that we've got a great bunch of guys nationally and internationally and I feel priviledged to be a part of this.
The enthusiasm shown so far is a good indication of the success that this will be.

Unfortunately I am bikeless at present, unless you count a BMW F650GS, so I would not be able to participate in a leg of the relay. That said, I may be able to offer support in the Bathurst region, depending on timing.

I received the message from Frosty. Not sure that I would be confident taking the 400 too far out of town yet - she has a couple of oil leaks which I have to fix. My location is Rockhampton and I'll will keep up with this topic to see if I can help in any way.

Tim from Brisbane is a member of the yahoo CB400f group, and I think I have seen him post on the SOHC group as well. Will post him to see if he is aware of/interested in your plans.

Thanks a million for your interest and offer of support guys.
Our foremost aim at present is to get as many as we can involved here.
Once that is done, we can then work out the how, when and where side of things.

The main thing is to become involved and have a great time.
Even if it is carrying Godzilla a few Kms from A to B.
There is no pressure on anybody to do a marathon ride with him.

Jerry has been in contact with me and I'll post part of that communication below.

"As you know we only have 2 unofficial official rules: have fun and only a SOHC4 may carry Godzilla and hopefully we can carry on that tradition.
There can always be exceptions to the rules if necessary but so far we have been extremely lucky.
It really sounds like you guys have a good idea how you want to accomplish this and however you guys do it is fine. After all it is your ride so do it your way and enjoy.
If you cover the whole country that's great but do what you can and don't worry about it.
