early tail on a 1978 super sport?

the plastic tailpiece on my super sport is cracked badly. I was wondering how easy it would be to buy a seat/rear fender from a early cb750 and adapt it to my super sport?

My 76 has an early tail, fitted by previous owner but just bolts in by the looks of it.

The later seat/cowel also swaps back on even with the early mudguard and tail light.

Handy if i want to take the wife out.
