Uh oh, I better come up with a cool 'on the road' shot to compete with that.  Looks great Gordon.

Thanks!  I figured I should add some fluff to my posts to distract from the fact that my bike isn't as pretty as yours. ;D

Hmmm tough call.  Both beautifully done bikes.  Kap's got a cooler back story but Gordon's got a cooler bike mechanic uniform.  (How do you l look so clean in that picture??)
Gordon also has a nicer road trip shot.  Decisions......

Thanks!  The coveralls were actually a gift from a friend and that was the firs time I'd worn them.  They're personalized and Honda-fied! ;D  Yes, that's an "F" on the back, but considering she didn't know anything about bikes I'd say she did a pretty good job. :)

SERIOUSLY!  My bike is on the back of your sweet, custom coveralls.  Where can I gets me one??

And holy cow, I need to get some pics taken over the next few days. Won't be able to contribute a GZ one yet, as he hasn't arrived, but will be posting more before months end.

Here's one of the bike with its future owner. :D

And here's what it looks like as of right now with the Bates hard bags it's been wearing for the past few years.  The most recent changes are the Hondaman-rebuilt swing arm, heavy-duty stainless steel spokes on the rear wheel, and new, stock profile Avon Roadriders that fill out the fenders better than the metric size Avons it had on it in the picture at the top of this thread and in most of the other pictures.

This is the unwashed, everyday look the K1 usually sports.  Still proudly wearing the dirt and road grime from the sohc4 relay ride. 8)

So, here we go.....  These are the photo ops I could find after work today on a 50 mile round trip from my house.  In the order they were taken:

Out in the countryside

In front of a nice canola field

The Simmons Building - a turn of the century mattress factory in an area of Calgary going through a massive redevelopment

Just a cool old tree on the grounds of the world famous Calgary Stampede

The Rundlestones - only remains of the first general hospital in Calgary, also from the turn of the century

Congrats, Kap!! :)

I was pretty sure this was how it was going to go, but I at least had to make you work for it. ;) ;D  At first I thought I might have a chance, even though my K1 isn't the prettiest sohc4 around, but when I found out your F is a family heirloom I knew it was all over.

That's a fine looking machine and one I would definitely be proud to own! :)

Thanks Gordon!  I certainly didn't think it was ever in the bag.  You've got a great looking machine there and a cool story of your own.  I think we should both be proud that we kept this thread pretty active with only 2 bikes and a seemingly quiet month on the board ;D

Grats to you both...

I had a tough time deciding between an F bike (I own a 78), and the K bike that's probably been on most of the roads I've been dreaming about riding here in CO....especially while I wrench and glance up at the mountains from my backyard for inspiration to git'r'done.

 ;D

Great bikes, great photos.

That makes Gordon a winner as well. 8)

You did a great job on the bike and it was a very interesting story and life of a motorcycle.

I hope the welder did not miss this. See photo.
I am a welding inspector so i just look for cracks. Sorry
