Cheep OEM Fuse Alternative
« on: July 20, 2011, 04:58:23 PM »
Well I plugged in my new battery today and burnt up my wire harness...

...I was looking for wire and new male/female plugs when I came across something better than the OEM "glass barrel" fuse that came with the bike.  It costs three dollars at Canadian Tire:

I have those on my fuses.  The PO had switched To blade type fuses, but with non-sealed, uncovered female blade ends with the fuse shoved in there.  I swapped these in to give it some protection from the elements.  So far so good.

Next step would be HondaMan style fuse block, for a little added stability.
