Fender Options

I have a plan to rivet a new shortened fender to the stock fender bracket for my 400F project.  Does anyone have a good suggestion for purchase?

Isn't the easiest thing to find a stock fender that fits the bracket and cut it to size?

Cutting a chromed fender will require it to be painted or replated as the cut edge will rust.

I have this same plan. I got a 550 rear fender to chop, I just need to find a front. The 550 front fender looks a little wider. It might  fit on the 400 bracket or make a new bracket for the 400 fender. I need to find a cheap 550 fender to mess with.  There's a 400 lowered fender in this thread.
