I'm tempted just to buy a complete harness from ebay and just trim it down a little.

No new pics worth posting but I have worked on the seat mounts and placment of the CDI box, regulator, and battery.I lost my damn debit card and had it caneled so i can't order the battery till the new card gets here.

I also took a few minutes at work tonight to draw up a simplified wiring harness. I think I have it all figured out except for a few wires. It's going to be very simple with small switch panel on the right hand side ..
ignition, head light, push button for starter
I prob wont put a key switch on it but I will add a sneaky ass battery dicso.

The DMV inspector called me back a few days ago and told me that I will be able to get the title bonded..Woooo

My battery was sitting on the porch when I got home from work last night...So I got some work done

The wiring was pretty simple. Right now I just wired the bike enough to run. I will be using better wire, connectors, and heat shrink/loom for the final wiring.

I'm not sure what to do with the black/white wire comming off the CDI box. The diagram says it goes to the kill switch. Does this wires need to be open or looped together to supply power to the coil?
I also haven't found a home for the black wire comming of the regulator and the black wire bundeled with the charging system wires....
Any suggestions?

The carb has been cleaned and is going back on tomorrow. We are going to finish up the wiring Sunday...I can't wait to hear it fire up after sittin in the basement for the last 6 years!
I'm going to order new tires, fork seals/boots, chain, and a a few other things as soon as I hear it run.
I'm also going to make some custom side covers with number 29 on them.

I love your custom electrical system under the seat, you have everything nice & separate from each other   Very nice work ! I think that black/white wire needs to complete a circuit for your ignition,at least it does on my older Honda.

Thanks grcamna2
It has takena good bit of work to transform this thing from its terribly ugly origional style.
Here are is what I used to wire the bike so far
stock diagram

I didn't need a whole lot of the stock wiring so I drew one with just the basics to make the bike run.
I will add a small fuse panel for the lights/horn/ign/12v phone charger...lol

I also bought these grips/throttle so match the tank

I should have the bike back at the house by Monday. I really don't want to buy another set of tires right now so I thinking about taking the the new Avons of the bobber and using them on this bike.
I also otdered a decent looking Led tail light/tag mount from Amazon.
I'm still looking at head light options. Ill more than likely go with an H4 housing an some sort of LED head light to keep the current draw low and the little battery happy.

Still seatching for spokes...

I also drew of few sketches of what I want the side covers to look like. I will post some pics when I come up with something that looks good.

I like the grips !.....are those Italian Gran Turismo grips from ebay ? I bought a pair of
"blue" ones & installed them on my CB350, nice quality & the color makes my bike really stand out in a crowd.

Yes. I bought the grips off Ebay from Italy. They seem to be constructed way better than the knock off Gran Tursimo grips that I bought from the TCbros website.
I really wanna hear this sucker run this week.

I'm picking the bike up on Sunday morning and hope to work on it all day. It will go to the paint shop on Monday.
Everything is going to be blacked out.
I'm going to build some custom side covers and small braces here and there with dimple die speed holes...woo
The frame and all small parts will be powder coated and engine will be painted with some PJ1 gloss black

I was going to tear the wheels down and have the rims coated and new stainless spokes.....but due to time and money...
I'm just going to clean the wheels really well and piant the rims spokes and hubs gloss black.

I was at a junk yard the other day picking up a set of 1 ton axles when I came across a 78 cm185. The tank was missing and someone had stolen a spark plu...thus the motor was trashed. I'm going to call in them morning and make them an offer on it. The wheels were in excellent condition. No rust on the rims or spokes! The front fender was also in really good condition. The man at the junk yard said it was parked there because the CDI went out....then someone snagged a spark plug and put nothing back in its place. I might be able to get it for100$ with the title.

We got the bike running today. The bike actually sounded pretty good. The mechanic still has some tunning to do on the carb but I was really pumped to hear it run today!
I pulled the back wheel to find that the brake shoes were missing. I'm going to order some new ones tonight

New shoes are going on this afternoon....I stole the tires from my bobber project
Avon speed master front
Avon SM2 rear

It would have been a bad day had I not tested the rear brakes first.

Ive been riding the bike around town a bit. It still needs a lot of tunning, tightening, and adjusting.....and lots of cleaning and polishing.
It's gonna be rough getting it completed before x mas
