need help to identify Yamaha exhaust, and a story
« on: July 24, 2011, 05:04:37 AM »
Sorry to have to ask here, but I can't find a good Yamaha parts id site.
Any help would as always be appreciated.

On exhaust: Yamaha 3H3-14711
                                      3H3-14721

It's almost complete.

A little story to go with this: The dude I bought 15 gastanks, 4 exhaust systems and bunch of other parts was dishonest with me twice.
First he lures me by saying he has a CB550 in mint condtion for $25, turns out it's a piece of crap that he wants $500 for, has a 1000volt bulldozer battery attached and says, "See it starts right up no problem", except for the smoke coming out of the headlight and under the seat. Picvking  through the pile of used exhaust systems, covered with pine pitch, I just grabbed 4 out of 25+ (only the complete systems). He says they're all almost new, complete, will bolt right on etc etc (bull$ssdf) and piles the ones I'm taking in one stack. Anyways I get home with the stash and while cleaning off the pine pitch, rust and leaves and when I hang up the Yamaha set I spray it with cleaner and guess what.....???? Under a gob of pine pitch, duct tape spray painted silver, is a clear broken header at the collector. I HATE people whom are dishonest.
peace,
michel
