Where does this bracket go?

 Putting a bike back together and I'm not sure where this bracket goes. I know it goes in either the alt cover or tranny cover.

it might be to hold the wires in place behind... something on that side... not sure just a guess

 It looks a bit like what holds the wires on the CB750 dyno cover...
