Does front disc need to be removed when replacing front wheel bearings on CB750?

No, but it might get in the way when trying to loosen the bearing retaining nut....(question to self: IS the nut on that side???) Trying to visualize, not certain, but the bearing is not held captive by the disc.

The disc has to come off since the speedo gear on the right is held in place by the chrome collar which is held in place by the 6 disc bolts. Otherwise you can not remove the bearing from the right side.
