That's about 900lbs of bike and a Harley to boot! I couldn't come close to even thinking about matching his skills on my Harley. Know your bike and know your limits. These guys get extensive training and it shows. His right hand is probably the most important part of that bike.

I want to see..some of the "Hogs cant Handle well" group go over on their bikes, and show him how its really done...
Low speed handling has more to do with riders skill than bike setup.

+100, thats manoeuvring Frank, nothing to do with the way the bike handles.  I can scrape the pegs on a 750/4 doing a u turn, doesn't mean the bike handles well.... :o

It really is some kind of skill, but I am having a hard time trying to figure out where that "skill" could actually be used in the real world.
The only thing I can come up with is, for herding small farm animals.
Especially goats!

When I started riding again I found a parking lot without cars or gravel and did a little practicing but nothing quite that tight. Dang. Lately I've been practicing my stopping skills.

Somehow I dont think this guy has poor cornering skills on the open road..
Why do they need these skills/?When they get a call  they often have to reverse direction quickly, and its a great way to avoid distracted clowns in automoblies..
In short, they need it every day..

Ya, but the roads in which these types of skills are needed have pot holes, sand, gravel, oil, anti-freeze, other vehicles, pedestrians, animals, etc.
So really to make this contest more realistic and useful, all those things should be added to the course.
A perfectly swept, dry, non changing course is not a "real world" skill.

he could talk all the sh!t he wanted to about my Honda and I'd allow it without taking offense. that's one Harley rider I respect.

not too many jobs pay to ride a bike: motorcycle cop and a professional racer are the only ones i can come up with. you'd hope they would get that good with that much ride time.

I'm not certain but that might be Jerry "Motorman" Palladino, he's a cop/trainer that does shows on the circuit, also has a couple DVD's out.  I saw Jerry at Mid Ohio last year, or was it the year before, and was pretty impressed.  Some of his banter and schtick was kinda Harleycentric and lame, but no denying the skills.  At one point he lead a group (of 4 of his show partners) in an increasingly tight ring until they wear basically nose to tail and then they all pulled out into a straight line again.  All about the friction zone and keeping those eyes up.
