So I started out with this problem:
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=92922.0;topicseenI have a few odd carb questions
To start off I have 3 sets of carbs
1. Off my running 72
2. An extremely dirty set, that took going to hell and back to clean, off a 75 parts bike
3. An unknown year which was nicely given to me by the PO of my bike.
So Ill start off with the 72 carbsIm definitely missing something, its the #2 carb. Its missing the brass insert to the carb breather between #1 and 2 carbs.

Where did it go?
MORE IMPORTANTLY, HOW DID IT GET OUT? ![Shocked :o](http://forums.sohc4.net/Smileys/default/shocked.gif)
Then theres the crack in the main jet area, how big of a deal is it?
75 CarbsThey were DIRTY! Everything was frozen and varnished.

Learned to clean carbs with these back in Nov. and was thinking of using them Until...
What the hell did some PO in SC due to these poor carbs?
There are holes drilled in the carbs where the airbox attaches. Why would you do this?
How does one go about fixing this? JB Weld? Im affraid of it getting loose and getting sucked into the carb, then engine. I just dont get it.
The unknown yearIm just wondering when they started using these plastic caps in the air screws?

Is there a main difference between these carb years except for the 105 vs 110 jet sizes?
The carb bodies on the 72 have
3-R and
3-L on the inside.
The other 2 have
4-R 72-9 and
4-L 72-9 on the inside
