Early wiring vs. later wiring: HL and TL circuits
« on: July 25, 2011, 03:36:21 PM »
Hi Y'all,

I am wiring a really nice F2 750 wire harness into a 1975 K5 750. There appears to be a significant change, studying the wiring diagrams available on this site and also at Old Man Honda. In '75, it seems, all the lighting and accessories ran through the headlight circuit, which had a 7 amp fuse, and only the tail light ran through the tail light fuse. But the F2 wiring diagram shows that the lighting and accessories run through the TAIL light circuit, which still has a 5 amp fuse, and only the headlight is on the headlight fuse, which still has a 7 amp fuse.

Can someone with real life knowledge tell me if this is true?

I thought using electrics from bikes only two years apart would be easier than it turned out to be.
