Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Day 3---that's better. thanks OSIC.

I'm thinking ride all day and get to the Sault around dinner time. I have to be at the theater at 6:30, so if we get to my place around 5, I can recommend dinner at Antlers Restaurant.
After dinner I shall have to cut you loose to tour the locks, and visit the fudge shops and have a nice glass of Soo Brewery's finest, which I can tell you is very fine. Ya'll can head back to my place on your own schedule and I will be home after my show is done around 9.

So, backtracking, lunch will probably be somewhere around Mackinaw City/St. Ignace. There's better bridge viewing in Mackinaw City and I think a better choice of restaurants. I was gonna suggest Leggs Inn in Cross Village, but that may or may not be the right timing for lunch.

Further backtracking......That morning I'll head south on 31 and will start looking for the gaggle of SOHC's anywhere south of Charlevoix. Gonna be a sidecar rig in the mix, right?

Ratt----what time are you leaving Mackinaw City? I wonder if it's feasible to hook up with you and ride down to Interlochen together...or does that mean I'd have to be up with the dairy farmers?

Yep!  There will be a black Goldwing with a gold sidecar taking up the rear.

What say if we don't meet by Charlevoix, that the Thundering Hurd will stop there until we make contact?

That sounds like a good fail safe plan. I hope to find ya'll well south of there, but just in case, yes pause the herd in Charlevoix.

This is unless I somehow get my arse down to Mackinaw City and ride with Ratracer to breakfast with the herd.

Do you having texting on your cell phone?

I'm spending Thursday night in Cheboygan and it is a 2.5 to 3 hour ride from there to Interlochen.  It would make for a much more enjoyable morning to meet you in Mackinaw and play hide and go seek with the rest of the herd.  I'll send you a PM about how this might work.

My work phone is Verizon (works nicely up here) and my number is (517) 242 - nine zero one two.

So, Bruce. Me and Ratracer will tool along south on Highway 31 and look for the TH (Thundering Herd).

Charlevoix will be your pause point if you don't see us.
Speedway gas station in Elk Rapids will be our pause point if we don't see you.

Bruce----Ratracer and I are meeting in Levering around 8:30. It's about an hour to Charlevoix from there so around 9:30--9:45. I see you're planning to come up CR 605 through Williamsburg to Elk Rapids. Nice route from Interlochen. Good roads and it stays out of the TC morning---hell, anytime----craziness.

If we still haven't met you yet, in Elk Rapids, perhaps we may push south on 605, but certainly no further south than Williamsburg

Hey Fuzz,

I think getting to Elk Rapids by 9:30 is a bit more ambitious then we're capable of doing. Can y'all sleep in a bit and shoot for noon or 1?  Call me anytime & we can discuss.
