Where to buy a 530 Standard Masterlink RIVET style

I have a Cb550 with a standard chain, with the clip style master link.  For safeties sake I'd like to get a rivet style master link, where can one be found??  Can't seem to find anything that isnt O-ring or X-Ring.

The masterlink needs to be made by the same manufacturer as the chain, as most of them all have slightly different geometry. Look at your chain and look for any markings on the links that can identify a maker. Then contact them for a new master link.

Its a Tsubaki 530 QR and I keep finding that the Rivet Links have been discontinued.

If Amazon doesn't work out you could safety wire the clip type master link.  This was common practice in the dirt bike world back when I still rode dirt.  I think racers are required to safety wired them as well.  Do the searches since this has been discussed on this forum before.

I checked out the wire tie method... there seems to be some different tactics, they all seem slightly shady to me.  I have 3 rivet style clips on the way but no tool just yet.  at 1.95 a piece I figured this way I can take things apart a few times without having to wait for a new link.

Until I get the tool, does dabbing a spot of JB Weld seem like a decent idea?  I have an extra clip style link as well, I ordered an extra not knowing one would come with the chain (duh). 

I am probably being paranoid but the plate is on super tight, the clip however can easily be wiggle on the pins.  It doesnt come off the pins however, just has play in the grooves if i grab on it.

No not really to hold the master-link in place.  The clip is still there holding everything in place.  I just figured a a dab of JB touching the clip and touching the O=O plate would be a decent added piece of safety.

safety wire it. seen roadracers do it many times as i have and its fine.

just my .02. i have never had one come loose with a good quality chain. and i beat the hell out of my stuff.  ;D just my .02

The first sample isn't very neat but is the preferred method.  Two times around and twist, clip with about four twists left and fold flat.  There is more than enough clearance behind the plate to clear the sprockets.

I would think the second example is contingent on the size of the tie wire.  Too fine and it might break, too thick and it might not seat properly in the pin groves.  Just right size and it may work OK.  Still I would go with the first method since the clip is still the primary security device, just locked in place by the tie wire.
