Glad you had a good time!  I was there two years ago and yes, it was a great time!  Even better was the ride out there.
Left MN with 3 buddies, down the Mississippi in Wisconsin then Iowa then Illinois, across Indiana into Ohio.  Then after the show straight up into Michigan, into the UP, then over Lake Superior back down into MN.  Was a great 6 day, 2500 miles!

Great pics jake...you guys do not even look warm? What? You got some built in AC going there or what? I was there on Friday and it was terribly hot and humid. No wind also added to the day.

ha, warm. thats an understatement. we would only walk around for like 30 mins to an hour and then have to sit in the A/C in the car for an equal amount of time. my son is 11 months, and it felt almost like child abuse taking him out in the heat like that. he didnt think so, he loved it.

i must go prepared next year with a trail bike with a sidecar apperatus to cover all that ground. the wife agrees. i have a bug to get an old 2 stroke something. i cant believe that there was that many 2 strokes around.

Agreed...it was down right dangerous to walk around there with all the mini bikes running around. I think a golf cart would be the ticket. One with a big cooler on the back.  :D

No kidding. It was pretty hot which took a lot of the fun out of it for me....had to back to the hotel to cool down several times.

By the way guys, the lad I told you to look up in the pits (Mick #75 - XS750) crashed and broke his collar bone in his first race Sunday morning.  :(

Sorry to hear that about Mick. I don't know how the racers could have put up with the heat in those heavy suits. I was lucky some of the bike vendors were offering free water. I was getting pretty dehydrated fast. Too bad the food vendors would not give it away. It was dangerous out there and they should have had water stations placed throughout the show. But again, it was July and I should be been better prepared for my first Mid Ohio. I will be ready next time with a big jug and golf cart.

And a  warm fleece pullover and raingear?

at AHRMA in Cresson, Texas, everyone was complaining about 'freezing' 63' f  temps.   You never know what next year might bring.

Were any of you guys there during the rain? I was at the hotel by then and the radar made it look like a down pour? Is that right?
