Sorry I cannot help but I just noticed the same thing on mine last night. There is a click right as you first go to push down on it. When you release the pressure and push again it clicks again. I just rebuilt mine and it was not doing that until last night for the first time. The bike has not run yet...Hope its fixable without anything to drastic. It will drive me insane if I have to live with it!
