Petcock Fuel lines... 2 into 1
« on: September 07, 2011, 07:48:11 PM »
Hi
I Just replaced the tank on my CB650 with an older tank from CB750 which has 2 fuel outlets from the Petcock... My CB650 only requires 1 fuel line into the Carbs.

What is the best way to deal with this...
-Use one line from the Petcock and plug the other? What method are you using to "plug" the other line?
-Or Maybe use a T connector to make 2 lines flow into 1?
-Other Ideas?

Thanks

Use a T or Y connector.

Yep, what Gordy said, I used a 6mm bolt for awhile on my K2 with 32mm CV carbs, and it worked fine (just cut a piece of fuel hose, jam the bolt in one end and fit the other end to the other spiggot on the petcock, but the "T" or "Y" junction is better. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks for all the feedback...!
Looks like I will be using a "Y" junction to keep it simple!
