cam "pucks" is there an up and down side? cb550

looking at these pucks it's hard to tell if they are the same on both sides. i think i remember reading somewhere that you have to becareful to install them right side up?

I just did mine and did not notice any difference from one side to another.  Could be way wrong though.   I did give the a coating with a really good silicone product called "the right stuff".  Stopped my oil leaks completely.  Previously I had 2 cam pucks leaking.  Good luck, enjoy your leak free motor.

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
 Every time any owner strips whatever precious Honda part the horrified purists parts go up in value. That's not the part that bothers them.

Yeah I really couldn't tell either, so I just put some permatex gasket sealer on the inside and put them in. cleaned off the excess, and got the rest back together. Now I'm working on the valve clearences and timing. Hope to fire her up in a little bit.
