Front Stop Switch wiring

I haven't pestered you guys with any trivial questions in several weeks but I have one now that has me puzzled. My bike is a 1972 750K2. It starts every time and runs in a way that seems fine to my untutored judgment. It had a lot of little problems when I bought it about a year and a half ago. Most were due to indifferent or lacking maintenance and the fact that the PO was a "putz."
So, I have invested a bunch of dollars and a lot of hours into getting it back in pretty good shape. I know that many, many of you have done the same thing; so, you can relate.
When I first got my bike home, among the dozens of problems I spotted was that the front brake sort of worked but didn't activate the brake light. The little hydraulic valve that is attached to the front, inline with the brake hose worked (works) but there were no wires attached to it. I played around with the wiring harness just behind this switch and finally found the two wires which should have been attached to this switch. Faced with so many other problems that all needed attention, I simply wrapped the bared ends of the two wires to the little projections, bound everything with tape and went on to other things. It seemed, at the time, like a somewhat shoddy repair, but it held and like I said, I was almost overwhelmed with other problems on the bike. I know that's a lame excuse but it's all I have. Mea culpa !
Now I want to go back and do it right. It looks to my untrained eye that there should be a part especially designed to bring the two wires to the switch. I don't know what it looks like or what it is called. Apparently the PO, in my case, had snipped it off. I have looked exhaustively in the parts fiches. That's where I got the name - Stop Switch. I'm hoping one of you savvy guys can tell me what my missing part is called and where I can get one. My method of wrapping the wire ends around the little projections is starting to fail, plus it looks crappy/amateurish, plus it just isn't right; all of which bother me intensely. Can anyone help me out here? I'm not a mechanic and don't ever pretend to be. I study the manuals, read the posts on this forum and try to research the internet but I'm kind of stuck at this point. Thanks in advance for any help or pointers.

Those are crimp on "socket" connectors and you need to go to an auto parts store, or radio shack, and get a couple.  It matters not which wire goes to which terminal on the pressure switch.  Anything that is cylinderical, crimps or solders to the wire, and fits the round terminals securely will work.

Specifically you want female bullet connectors.

OK, so I guess I have an overactive imagination. I had visualized some sort of plastic or bakelite plug with the female connector molded into it along with the two wires. Maybe a large rubber cup over it that would go up over the stop switch to help hold it on and protect the connection from the elements. Oh well, how I would have done it, but if you guys say no, then I'll try to find the right size female connectors and go that route. I emailed the connector guy.

  Oregon Motorcycle Parts is a great company.  The crimp connections come with rubber boots.  Get the crimp tool when you buy the connectors.  Your electrical system will serve you alot better and alot longer if you do.
