CB750F2 rear brake problem
« on: August 02, 2011, 06:27:39 AM »
I have 1978 CB750F2 with only 2,300 original miles. The only nagging problem is a rear brake that locks up when the bike has been run for a long time on a hot day - if you let it sit for a while it will free up. I did install an OEM Honda rebuild kit and made sure all internal brake parts were clean and used new fluid. I checked the manual and it shows a check valve (installed under the piston spring) - but I did not get a new valve with the kit, nor did I notice an old one installed. My question is - should there be a check valve? And could a lack of one be causing my issue? Thanks in advance...John
