400fourstore.com down? Where's Kevin?
« on: August 02, 2011, 06:53:46 AM »
Been trying to log onto the site and it looks to be dead.  Just wondering if anyone had any info on what might be going on whether it be maintenance or what.  Hope everything is okay!

I believe he has moved out of the country. I'm sure he'll chime in soon.

He just responded to a CL ad I placed a couple weeks ago.  He was looking to pick up a titled frame to build so it sounded like he was still around.  He pointed me to his site if I needed anything for my bike.

Talked to Kevin from TTR400, and he said that Kevin from 400fourstore was planning on moving to Thailand for a while.  He said that he let him know to chime in here when he got a moment.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the concern, I really didn't think anyone would notice that the site was down...

I am still in the states for now. I am leaving in a couple of months for S.E. Asia. I will return in a few years (maybe).

I have some TTR and MC Again stock here on the shelves, if you want any of it now is the time to buy it.

Thanks to all that have been loyal customers of the 400FourStore and TTR products, it's because of you that we have been able to keep the business rolling for the past ten years. Developing new products and improving on old ones. For me the best part of the this venture is the friends I have made along the way.

Thank ~ You!

Kevin

Kevin, do you have a list of what's left and what the prices are?  What's the best way to contact you about purchases?

Hi Godfrey,
There are some parts left, but everything went into storage last week.
I'm now living in Bangkok, wondering how I can fit a 400/4 motor onto a canoe :-)

Luckily the water hasn't come into town (yet), there is a possibility of flooding in the city this weekend. I doubt it will make it to the 23rd floor where I live.

I burried all of my goodies so those auction hunter bastards wont have a chance at getting them, it's the moles that I am concerned about :-)

Kevin,

This is shocking news to me! I had no idea. Out of all the dealers I've bought parts off, Kevin at 400FourStore was the most helpful and easiest to deal with AND had all the great parts. I'm sad to hear you're out of the 'game' so to speak but glad to hear you've gone on an adventure. Well done.

And may I apologize in advance for all the 'bogan Ozzie' backpackers you're sure to overhear as a Contiki tour bus speeds by in downtown Bangkok. If you don't know what a 'bogan Ozzie' is, don't worry, you're sure to find out. They love Thailand about as much as they love Bali.

Best of luck to you on your travels and thanks again for going the extra mile getting me those MC Again rearsets.

Rick.

Thanks for the kind words Rick!
I don't know what a " bogan Ozzie" is yet, but like you said I'm sure to find out soon enough.
I visited Bali in February and have told many people what a great place it could be if they would send all the Ozzies home :-) Seems there where more Ozzies there than natives, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting one of them.
My wife and I will be visiting the South Island  of New Zealand in December, if you have any "Must See" suggestions I would like to hear them. You can send me an email or PM me.

I will be back in the game someday, I still have my 400's waiting for me back in the states.

Take Care,
Kevin

Sadly, a few years back, a friend of mine lost four CB400's in a storage unit auction. He didn't tell me he was in financial trouble or I would have offered to help him out. The bikes vanished for a few years, along with all the high performance parts that he had been collecting over the years. Then one day they were on eBay and sold for about twenty times what he owed in back rent.
So sad.......

Ouch guys! Here I am at the very beginning stages of rebuilding a 77 400f and I can't figure out where to get parts. I definitely need the entire cam chain tensioner assembly and all the parts pages I find are missing pieces that I need. Help. Where do I look?
