Best place to buy vacuum gauges?
« on: August 02, 2011, 12:49:19 PM »
I finally decided to stop borrowing a timing light and a set of vacuum gauges for carb synching.

I found a timing light locally but will have to order the vacuum gauges. I, obviously, need a set that has four dials/gauges. About the best price I can find online is ~$58-60 shipped.
Know of a good place to get them, or a better price?

And I know all about the homemade manometer, etc. I prefer a set with actual gauges. It's what I've used, what I'm used to and easy to store when not in use.

I recently purchased the "Carburetor Synchronizer" that's all over EBay.
The one with the blue mount....
for about $60... free shipping.

Seen it used in so many YouTube videos... works fine there...

Worked great for me. Everything in one kit is real nice... Got it a few days after ordering it. Had my carbs synced in less than 15 minutes!
(I already had the tank off and everything ready just waiting for the postman)

Worth every penny!  ;D

Yep, that's the one my buddy has and the one I've used. Worked great for me, too.

Morgan Carbtunes from the UK have a good rep - I've ordered mine but haven't used it yet so can't vouch directly.

I have and used the Carbtune on several bikes.I like it because you do not have to wonder if the gauges are themselves are in sink.
