750 K7&8 petcock
« on: August 02, 2011, 03:38:29 PM »
There is hope for replacement of a K8 petcock if you don't want to take it apart, find gaskets, and tap for screws etc.

http://www.cb750supply.com/products/6/fuel-system/67/petcock-parts

This one listed for the '77 models will fit, the main difference being the outlet is toward the rear rather than in toward the engine.

I just turned it around 90 degrees, or you could get a little longer piece of fuel line.

The price is right too!

No problem!

I found this part number (16955-268-020) in another post for the replacement 4 hole washer, so I can now rebuild my old one and have a spare.

Anyone know a part number for the tabbed washer that sits in the groove of the nut thet screws onto the tank?

I found an o-ring that fits, but haven't tried it yet.

How have these worked out?  How is the look/quality compared to the originals??

My K2 has a leaky petcock so am considering one.  Thx

That's funny!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Well, lucky you are....I'm still here and so is the petcock!

We just celebrated our first anniversary a couple weeks ago, and hasn't leaked a drop since installed.

Looks as good as new, just turned 90 degrees so the stock hose could be re-used.

I fixed the old one, just haven't seen the need to put it back on.
