searched the web many years ago, joined the original emailer. Still got the T-Shirt, too.

Many thanks to Glenn for his years of activity (and patience) with the club!

Just was Googling for info, I ran across other Honda-ish forums first but this one seemed like it was the most "community" oriented and people that were asking questions got useful answers :) And the maturity level seemed high...I like that.

I was a photo.net user in '99 or so, I probably ran across links to the CB archives but didn't think anything of it because I wasn't interested in motorcycles then :)

Sandcast responses are much more expensive, you know.

after i (stole) my cb650 i went looking for information about it, thinkin i was just gonna part it out and sell the rest for scrap(i have seen the error of my ways) with only a little effort i put this bike back on the road and i've put 15000 miles on her this season. maybe a few more years and it'll start looking as good as is runs.
1980 cb650c first bike i owned now the wife's ride.           1982 xv920j virago, bike i learned to ride on rescued it from a 13 year coma (sitting in the shed) now she runs beautifully and rides like a dream.

Glenn, found it with Google. If you are asking in order to determine the best way to spend your ad dollars... then I can tell you that search engine optimization with an emphasis on Google will give you way more bang for the buck than any other advertising, including mail marketing and even magazines.

Googled a bike I wanted again a while back, became a member, forgot who I was here, got a gallery I can't get back into, got a ride for the wife and me to project, got a new identity with no gallery on SOHC4, and here I am again.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

The classic bike Jedi I bought my bike from spent two hours going on and on about how to work on it.  The moment I tired and stopped taking notes he told me to Google SOHC forum.  Thank God I wrote that down!  :)

Ah, hell...been a member of this devoted band of cammers since 94 when the initial announcement was
made up on the old usenet wreck.motorcycles newsgroup.
Hey, along those lines, has anyone heard from Rene vanMaanen or some of the european contingent
lately?
Haven't even seen them posting on the mailing list.

Hi Brian! Noticed this very, very extremely oldpost in the huge archive that this forum has.
I am doing just fine. I quit HP in 2003, starting to set up my own SOHC/4 business here in in the Netherlands. Also, I found that there is a lot of interest in SOHC-4 bikes in the Lower Countries, and set up a member club here. I quit the board two years back, because I thought my job selling parts was interfering.
The Dutch club is running just fine now, and so is my business.

You can understand that these two things took me a lot of time, but reading the message of Axl form Org being killed by an accident brought me back to this site.

I remember our lunch in Monmouth NY very well, you picking me up in the nice James Bond type car: what brand was it again?

Cheers, Rene

I've seen a couple of SOHC4s around town and have thought about leaving notes on them about the site, but I haven't had any scrap paper on me when I see them.  It might be a good idea to print up a couple of business cards for just such an occasion.

Bought mine in boxes in 2000 and needed to find a manual for it. The PO recommended that I look here.

I lurked for years until I finally said enough and joined for real.

So I'm an official member but..... my bike is still in boxes. WTF.
