anyone ever replace cam bearing???

I've got an 81 kz1000m and the top end is really noisy. The mechanic says its the cam bearings they are a little expensive so i got a parts bike gonna try and use the bearing out of it anyone ever done this if so please message me thanks.

Maybe you could run a compression test and see if the whole cam needs replacing. I don't know this model, though. I admit.
