looks like more poorly built "cafes"

Its one of those "i got these bars that didnt fit right but thought to myself....what would the old timers do?......make the front brake useless just to get the look...."

also looks like the use of standard pegs with clubmans for that great elbow to knee riding stance....

I'm with CafeDawg on this one. My favorite reality tv show was Drawn Together though. I think some of the people on here need to get off the internet and onto their bikes for a few hours. Hell, maybe even get laid.

I'll second that. Some of these people have a serious bad attitude towards everything ::).

Just say something positive for once Moriarity!!!!!

...surprise surprise...something on tv sucks?...nice to know that there is less and less reason to own one with every new show...at least when them Duke boys trashed every '69 Charger on the west coast it was mildly entertaining...cr tv is just #$%*...

It's the reason we only have basic cable.  No way would I pay extra for more of the same crap.  One channel has a unique idea and soon 20 versions are on.  I wish you could choose what channels you want.  >:(

why pay at all...chuck your tv in the street and go read a book...or stare at the wall, it's generally much more thought provoking...

His bike. If he wanted to put a volkwagen engine in it with sissy bar and ape hangers so be it.  Also to those that have a 69, yours just became a bit more valuable. Congratulations. Life goes on.

I couldn't be bothered to go out and ake a new pic of mine so I checked photobucket
they are 'even' but it looks like clutch is higher in pics.

Really? That is so disappointing. I rank it as one of the better summer sweets. Wife used to make a great fresh peach pie (not cobbler, pie) that with a scoop of vanilla would just change your world view. Every once in a while she would do it with a graham cracker crust, a religious experience fer sure.

So you are a cake person then, Norton? As an NYC'er I have had it up to my eyeballs with cupcakes. Every corner has a shop selling these 1000 cal personal sugar grenades and we collectively wonder why our nation is dying of diabetes.

we should have a NYC bake sale and swap meet thing....

Sorry, the limitations of these interwebs creating miscommunication again! :)

I'm pie guy through and through. But being that I can't find good crust anywhere (which in my opinion, takes it from decent to stellar in 2 seconds flat), I typically opt out altogether.

No cake for me, and cupcakes are even worse. I just go straight ice cream now, pint at a time!

When I worked on the family farm in upstate NY during summers, my personal record was 13 apple pies in one summer. Other people ate a few slices here and there, but not many. It's a summer that I will never top, and that's just sad....

Will, Scott,

Show is in a couple of weeks, find a worthy cause and bake some pies and I'll make sure you get a booth under VJMC, vinMoto, caferacer.net - someone. You can recoup costs but the rest has to go to charity. But I fully support a bake sale.

There was this place in redhook that made from scratch key lime pie, and that had a crust to die for.

Off Topic - Not to derail the thread but....Nice Bike!  Really digging the copper pipes!

On Topic - I'm more of a Pecan Pie type of person.  Yum!

Original Topic - Haven't watched the show, and don't plan to!  OCC is already annoying enough.

If you can make it there you are welcome. I'll post details this week but: august 21st, n14th street, Brooklyn NY. Be there or be square. Free beer so if you don't show you'll be so square you'll be almost a cube. This year we are calling it velocity, last year it was "holeshot", year before "brand x", year before that "detonation".

If I could drag 70lbs of apples, plus a passenger, back home from CT, surely you can find a way to bring a pie on your bike.

...my grandma told me you have to use real lard in the crust to get the proper flakiness...now my grandma has been gone for several years and my sister bakes the pies...but she says it is difficult to find real lard at the crappy grocerie stores that are prevalent these days...

Boston cream pies I cannot resist. And I like to make (and eat ;D) old fashioned ice box cakes. Anybody ever heard of them? Mmmmmm....
