K1 Headlight
« on: August 05, 2011, 04:54:30 PM »
Just lost the low beam on my 750K1. It is the sealed beam and I really want to stay as close to OEM as possible. Don't ride at night and not looking for the "blueray" or Halogen stuff. Are you guys getting them from your dealer or do you have another source. Heck, I have not bought a headlight for one of these bikes in 30 years. Do they still make them?

Just about any online parts supplier or local motorcycle parts/accessories shop is going to stock 7" sealed beams.  I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure everything you're going to find is going to be a halogen bulb.  Do you mean you're not looking to convert to the separate reflector and H4 bulb setup?

When I ordered my 750 K4 headlight from Honda, I found a GE-6014 inside the genuine Honda packaging. Works fine. Since you have a K4, compare it to your K1 and see what you think.

The GE-6014 sealed beam looks like this:
