I have the chrome version of this muffler.  It is 11" long just as the description says, I have it on my CB500 with a CB550F header and I think it sounds great (so do the guys at work)...my wife isn't totally convinced though.

and you have that as a 4 into 1?

im thinking of keeping mine 4 into 2 so two of those should be quieter than your one....plus a smaller displacement bike...

The CB550F header is 4-1, I guess I never thought about 4-2 being quieter.  Anyway - there is a small "baffle" of sorts inside this "muffler", I did try running with the header open and with the muffler and it does actually take a bit of the rasp off the edges...doesn't really quiet it per se, but smooths it a bit.  A very small bit.  I'd endeavor to record and post some videos but I'm afraid it really wouldn't do it justice.

i shy away from letting the 350f be too loud after my wifes comment...
she was following me home one day and when we reached the house she said something to the effect of...."wow when you pulled away from that light your bike make alot of noise, but didnt really go anywhere"

LOL!
I wonder if they even realize how bad that stuff hurts.

A girl told me once that she "saw me riding by bike around town last weekend" (94' GS500E).
I said "How did you know it was me?"
she said: "I saw this big guy on this little bike"
me: ...........

She had no idea what she just said.

From that very moment I felt like an ape riding a tricycle!

I was the owner of a GSXR1100WP in less than a week!
