Topic: Exhaust, Spigot? Clamp? Collar? Please help.

So I have a new (used) muffler and it is smooth to the end, up to the lip that gets tucked into the exhaust hole.
I have a '77 750K. It has the flat mounting brackets, not the finned looking spigot.
I can't remove the pipes to slide on any mounts.
I need the collar and spacer in two parts.
(I sure hope this is making sense.)
I've tried everything short of bubble gum wrappers.
So I need a spacer and a spigot (or clamp, or ear?)

You need the older style spigots, they bolt to the head, then the pipe slides over it and clamps down to the spigot.

Hello in Hawley, MN.
Could you please send me a link to where I can see or buy this?
I know it will have to come in two halves (for each pipe).
I have searched all over the internet.
Seems I can find the spacers with no problem but I can't find the plates to bolt behind the lip of the pipes.
I don't really care about looks, just trying to get this thing on.

this is what you need to look for, these are for a DOHC, but it seems to me I tried them on my sohc once and they worked. I am not guaranteeing that though.
