Seems he was DQed for more than one offence Frank, not a very good ambasador for the sport and the face of Kawasaki in drag racing. :(

There are some who think they put their pants on differently than other people Sam. As much as he has done for the sport  to promote it in a positive way, i have seen him do things i did not appreciate because he thought he was "entitled".

Hey Bill, can you measure the arm on the bike? I want to know the length from the pivot bolt to the rear most adjustment on the axle.

Ok, this one is 24 inches. So it'll be 6 over. You can probably get someone with a milling machine to cut the slot 2 inches further forward to shorten up the adjustment.

Man its great to see the old school Honda's among the sea of cookie cutter sportbikes. Next year the classic Honda count will double.

Bill, is that a playback tach with built in shift light?????????? Also, is that an electronic speedometer?? What brand are both???  I need to get a big tach for my Crazy 8's Kaw project and i really need to put one on my F model. Funny, i never thought about needing one on the SS until the Samauto  project began. I always launched the bike by sound and then hit my shift points based on the shift light rpm. This whole experience has helped me pick up little things i really never considered and i've been running that bike on and off since i built it in 1998.

Go's to show, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Frank,it is and the one I took back was 409.00,this one $245.00! 80 seconds of playback,internal shift light,easy mount,all good,pt # 3967. and a PPR that goes to .5.Other one stopped @ 2? I recommend it.Bill

Mike, well they don't when they only read 5000rpm instead of 10,000.Not good for a bike with a Mike Rieck head..still making power past 9500,10,000..you get the picture.Hope to build a top end 1000cc with MRieck head for Calendar Girl..or Samauto!!! Bill
