Since I don't have benefit of training wheels behind me, I have to slip the clutch. I'm leaving the line between 7000 & 8000rpm so the clutches take a beating but hold up pass after pass. I went 7 years on the same stock clutch pack and changed it cause I was going to an important 5 day event. Didn't want to take chances. It was still in useable condition though there was some wear. Listen, I'm not saying anything is gospel, I'm only stating what works best for me. I believe in stock clutch packs and have used them in every brand bike I've owned, street or race. You fellas by far have more experience in all aspects of these bikes than I ever will so I'm trying to learn how it works for you in hopes I can pick up new knowledge. I enjoy learning from the forum members. This site has been invaluable to me. I only can hope at some point something I've posted will help someone else. Drag racing is my passion but not my primary focus. I still will not use Barnett clutches in anything I own.
