This is my second build. She’s a 75 CB400f. Running gear is stock, and she exhales through a Mac 4 into 1 header and can. The frame, swing arm, wheels and a few other pieces are powder coat. All new wiring and solid-state electronics, relocated under the seat. Rear inner fender is Lexan (see through). I bought a Dime City Cycles headlight bucket, and sunk in an electronic (read no cable) tachometer into it using a piece of 2-1/2” tube. The seat was fun. The top part at the rear of the seat used to be the top of a 76 CB550 gas tank. The rear light was made by using (again) a piece 2-1/2” tube which happened to fit a side-marker I found at Pep Boys. Since side markers don’t have dual-filament, I used only the lens, and a stock Honda brake lamp socket/bulb assembly, behind it. The front fender is stock, chopped and lowered. Rear-set supports are bolted on using a (longer) CB550 swing-arm bolt, and they are married to a set of Tarozzi rear-sets. Under the shaved and polished (stock) triple clamp resides a set of (adjustable-angle) Tarozzi clip-ons. At the moment she sucks through four #98 jets, but she “hunts for a happy RPM” with steady throttle at low to mid RPMs, so I’m going to try some larger jets.
