No need for special plastic polish.  Just regular old car polish works great for small scratches or haziness.  I use it all the time on my face shields and the plexiglass windshield, too.

If the scratches are deeper, I had some turn signal lenses that were pretty bad in the sense they looked like they had kissed some pavement at one time. Before trying to locate new lenses, figured I would try to remove the scratches.. had little to lose. I started with about 400 grit paper and worked my way up to 1500 grit, then used some rubbing compound. Looked so good, I kept them. Since this is a face shield, if you try it, try it on some out of the way spot first.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Most face shields have a hard outer coating which if you use a rubbing compound to remove scratches will then expose the soft core.
Also be carefull that you dont leave it with lits more tinny scratches - these will give a nice starbusrt filter effect in the rain at night, good for pepping up your photo's but no so good for riding in.
