Candy blue is one of the harder colors to come up with originally.

If you are going to mod a tank, you are going to want one you need to put a liner in anyway. If it were me I would sell it and buy a "painters" tank that isn't rotted through to cut up.

Why not TRADE it for a clean tank, perhaps locally?

I don't know, maybe with me, because I have a K-tank on my F-bike and it keeps cutting my seat because the tank is shorter?

Because I am searching for a good deal on a clean F-tank, I would prefer you didn't reduce the supply. ;)

You have a nice dent plus rust along the bottom seams. IMO that makes the color (my favorite) irrelavent. That tank is better than many out there but it has issues that would have to be dealt with. My bigger concern of the 2 issues is the seams. If it's rusted through or close to it then the tank MAY be worthless, depends on the severity. If it holds gas then someone could use it the way it is. Otherwise someone could put some effort into it themselves and have a decent tank or spend some serious $$ and have a great tank by having it done professionally. For that reason I don't think you'd get great money for it. I'd perhaps sell it but find a worse tank to bend up. These tanks are fairly rare and saving it would be a good idea. At the least put in on the shelf for later and use another one.

holds fuel no leaks inside is clean. i agree about keeping . and the dent does suck but you cant see it when the seat is on all that much. I even thought about just making a stock f but the seat/rear tail is nice but its red in coler . I found a cafe seat and tail for sale so i thought if i could sell the tank and seat i could some what fund the cafe seat and tank . but still searching to see what all kind of  fab work there is to mounting the seat and tank.
