Hey all,
Just decided I should share my handywork from this afternoon.
I recently got fed up with struggling over the mixture screw limiters on my PD50B carbs (I understand that they're on other PD series carbs as well). For those that haven't encountered them, there are little stops that prevent you from rotating the idle mixture screw more than a single turn while the bowls are on. Having read a suggestion to do just this in another thread, I decided to grind down the stops.
My first attempt was using a small metal file. All that I got for my effort was a tired hand.
One trip to Home Depot later, I'm the proud new owner of a Dremel 4000. Here are the results:

One of the standard cylindrical grinder bits that came in the kit did the trick, taking about 20 mins for all four bowls. If you undertake this, be prepared for little bits of metal to go flying, so wear a long sleeved shirt and eye protection. Also, rinse all of the metal particles out of the bowls afterward.
The screws now turn freely, making me a happy camper.
