McMaster carr
« on: August 19, 2011, 10:26:47 AM »

Anyone know a place that sell parts similar to McMaster carr?

I can't buy from theme....they don't ship to Canada because of '' the complexcity of U.S
 Export regulations''  :(

What part's exaclty? I use them mostly for fasteners and small amounts of structural steel. If you want fasteners, Fastenal is about your next best bet.

Try MSC Industrial. Don't know about shipping to Canada, but they have everything MCMCarr does.

Sounds like rearset linkages?

Try between Guzzino and Wick Aircraft. Guzzino has aluminum clevis in metric while Wicks is steel in standard.

6mm is way too small for a brake rod..
I used to use 3/8 or 5/16 male rod ends, then thread tubing, to put it together, think it was 1/4 heavy wall tubing.
It is nice to be able to TURN the brake plate 90 degrees OUT OF THE WAY, when removing wheel.. just leave locknits loose.

Rod ends are available at many bearing supliers, make sure you get good ones... for the rod or tube.. find a friendly machinist to  do it for you..
