Take a look at the link for pics and comments about a project of mine................We now have the AMA record for the fastest modified 250cc pushrod motor running on gas.  The old record was set last year at 79.335 mph with a Triumph 1971 TW25. I researched this pile of Cub parts in my garage and decided it could run a little faster...........82.6 mph or close to it.  I have yet to get verification from the AMA. My fastest run was 84.9 mph one-way but the wind came up and I could not prove the run in the opposite direction.

I looked for you on day 2..............then had no time.  I heard about Goldammer but did not visit. Spent some time with vintage runners aka '39 Indian & a B50..........both are in the record book. Tore down the Cub motor yesterday and noticed only one wear item, the exhaust valve stem was slightly dimpled. I have plans for a resleeved barrel at about 248cc and a 32mm Mikuni for next year.  Also looking for a very narrow fairing to run in the partial streamlined class.
