75 Cb750F front brake line question
« on: August 09, 2011, 05:46:59 AM »
I just recently purchased a braided stainless steel front brake line for my 1975 CB750f. The line I got is a one piece with the same ends on both ends of the line. There isn't a banjo fitting. I contacted the vendor about the line and the fact that now I can't run a brake light switch for the front brake (not a big deal, I guess). The vendor said it was fine. My question is, is this line safe to run with just straight fittings and not a banjo fitting on the master cylinder end?  It seems to me that if it were okay more bikes would be set up this way. I mean EVERY bike you see has a banjo fitting on the master cylinder end.  Is there a reason for this? Thanks for the help.
