I gave one away so I guess the average is now 125-150.  :)  As mentioned here... whatever someone is willing to pay.  Of course past prices on ebay or here on the forum are good indications.  I thought they were going for 75-100 but again... whatever someone is willing to pay at a given point in time.

Yes that's right. As one by one they get broken from lack of the spacer in the clamp, the remaining ones get more and more expensvie. There is always the case someone can score one for less, or someone else doesn't know what one has and lets it go for less. But generally, $150 is base for a used one. $300 happens when someone needs one really bad and there is a dry spell of suppply.

They will never get cheaper going forward.

I see the one on eBay now with a buy it now price of $239.99. It is being sold without the clamp spacers. I'd like to follow it to its new home and see if the new owner breaks it.   :(

look for a 71 or 72 basket case with one.. that should cost about the same as they are going for..

ya bad link.

also is there anything else really expensive on a 1970-1972 cb750? i have access to 4 of them

i dont think they are KO sandcast bikes though. 2 of them say the where made in 1970 but the sandcasts are 1969 right? and the engine vin needs to fall in between 1000001-1007414 (this is the vin on the engine right, not the frame correct?)? like the first 4 engine vin numbers right?

or am i an idiot and im siting on some sandcast cb750s?

I fell into what I now call the "sand trap"  I thought all 69's were sandcast up until I paid too much for a 69 that turned out to be a diecast.  It is a very sweet rider, and I will recover my investment now that is is redone and riding, but I won't be retiring on the profit, that is for sure.

OK....now I see it. Bet that guy feels like a dumb a$$ after finding out he could have used a newer tree for the same results plus sell the unicorn to fund another project. Live & learn.

If I had one and not in a hurry to sell, I'd put it on ebay with a buy it now of $300 incl S&H. and just wait it out. Someone will come along that needs it yesterday and pay up. Maybe $275.

I'm about to bead blast mine before I repaint it.  I thought I can get a good look to make sure it is in good shape.  It did not have the spacer.  Anyone know if you can still buy the spacer?  Or make one.  How thick are they?

Its plural spacers. They go on the left and right clamps. I have a thread in Tricks and Tips on making them. They are not available from Honda. . I'll find it for you.

Here tis:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=72765.0

Thickness is very important. Too thin and the clamp will still break.

i have 2 unicorn top trees with bolts and spacers. also 3 sets of bolts and spacer for people who dont have any

what is special about the caliper bracket? how much are they worth i cant find any prices for them surfing the interweb

i found 2 plastic chain guards but the lady wants $35 a piece for them and after you add $10 because im awesome and shipping i dont think its worth it? they are both in like a 3 out of 5 quality. i do have the weird oval washer things that fit in the plastic with bolts

the front fenders are all twisted up

i did buy a set of mint speedo and tach with the idiot lights in it. the PO i snagged these off of had some huge windjammer thing that protected the gauges from the sun  8) there are also some more of them laying around but they are in a little bit more of ruff shape. (like they are faded more)

---- this is a question i have. i have mountains i mean mountains of air boxs i can look though. but what i dont understand is what the K0 air boxes look like..... i know the uber nice sandcast bikes the 1969 ones the air box is all smooth with not ripple lines. are the 1970 air boxs the same? can anyone post pics of all the styles?

side covers hahahahahaha i wish

i found lower legs on ebay going for like $70 i doubt ill be able to purchase them any cheaper

i also made a thread about the $1500 wrinkle tank. i posted my question about those tanks on that thread

all the rims are shot. what are special about the speedo drive? and when you say rotor you mean the brake disc? or the charging system rotor?

----- and from above about the exhaust lawl

sorry for 20 questions. im working on a cb550 which seem to be a lot easier then the nostalgia of these cb750's. i do have a 1972 cb750 but thats the winter project so i havent had the time to really sit down and read in detail about them

The early caliper bracket is a C shape and unique to the K0-K1.  If you want to do a dual disk conversion on one of those bikes you need the early bracket.  Just like the unicorn top tree they aren't all that special but they are getting harder to find.  An if you need one then you will pay for it.

I would think the caliper bracket would bring $50 on ebay.  Maybe more.
