Hey all, I spent awhile digging through the forum, and couldn't seem to find an answer, so....
I have a 73 CB500 that I recently put a 550k motor into. The original carbs were shot, as were the carbs that came with the 550. I picked up a set of cb550f carbs and used all the guts from the 500 when I rebuilt the rack. From the chart it should be the right slow/main jets, however the jet needle seems to be different. So my question is, should I search for the correct needles, or will playing with clip position help enough. I also was wondering about the tube that sits above the main jet (needle jet air bleed?), and how much the drilling of that effects carb performance as I believe the tubes I used have differing size holes 1-5 and the chart seems to think they should be uniform.
Thanks for all your help.
