I took mine off when I installed my 4-2-1 because I thought it looked goofy sticking out the left side but i keep it handy in my barn. If I want the centerstand to work on the bike I can reattach it temporarily in about 10 seconds using a long bolt threaded through the pivot. The bolt doesnt fit tightly like the center collar does so its easy to put in and take out.
Doesn't work out too good when you're out on the road though.
I hope I never see that day...  ;D
But back to the topic - I'm not running baffles (didn't come w/ it) and it's loud but not too loud.  I feel safer if people hear me anyways. And it's definitely incentive to make it run perfect! Because everyone knows when it doesn't! haha

Funny this post should come up right now. Not even 2 hours ago I pulled the way too quiet baffle outa my new MAC megaphone and installed a Kerker 2-1/2 " cone w/ no baffle. It sounds great and I've ran this way before a few years back w/ no problems. You can't really see the cone hanging outa the back of the pipe but it's there!!!
I put that cone in with one sheet metal screw on the bottom. I rode it a couple of miles and all was good so I went on a 15 mile ride. All was well until about 10 miles into it ...it blew the cone out for a very noticable and unwelcome increase in noise. I came to a stop sign where a guy & his woman pulled up and informed me that it was in the road a coupla hundred ft. back. I went back and found it. Upon reaching my destination... I stopped at A&W for a burger and then hit K Mart across the street for a 99 cent bag of machine screws. I McGivered a screw in to hold it till I got back home for a sturdier mount job which I will do probably tomorrow. It was obnoxious loud without the cone but just right with it in there.

i have a 1976 cb750 and i put a 4-1 megaphone on it. am i asking for trouble running with no baffles. can i tune the carbs so im not running to lean. i sure like the way it sounds. its loud but not too loud.

 Nope, it's too loud.
If you NEVER ride in a group do what you want. (if you do, it's really irritating following a bike without baffles)
It will need jetting, unless your air filter is clogged/restrictive

PO broke the side stand mount off the frame... I have no choice

How did you handle the centerstand rubbing on your chain after going to the 4 into 1?  I'm having that issue right now...

The real question is: Why do you have a centerstand on your bike?

ditch it.
