Which wires to which TS flasher connector?
« on: August 10, 2011, 09:11:29 PM »
Bike= '74 CB550K.

I got a generic 3 prong flasher unit, but the bike came with a two flasher one on it that obviously wasn't functional.  The flasher unit has the connector tabs labeled: LEAD INPUT FUSE.  The bike has Grey, GReen and BlacK wires but I don't know wiring enough to tell what goes where.  The confusing part is that both the green and bloack wires appear to act as grounds in the wiring diagram.

Black in Honda convention is +12V switched when key on.  Grey drives the TS power.  Green is battery NEG terminal.

I don't know what flasher unit you have.  Maybe the table will help you.

Cheers,

It's a generic automotive flasher.  According to above, grey would be INPUT, green would be FUSE and black would be LEAD?  I couldn't read the flasher pin out gif you attached, could you upload one with better resolution.

Mouse click on the GIF file to make it bigger.  I don't have anything with better resolution.

Load -- connects to the the gray.
I'd guess INPUT to black.
I've never seen a FUSE terminal.  Sometimes cheap is all that it implies.
