After a long, hot, and dry summer my dad was hapy to see the thunderstorm moving through to bring us much-needed rain. Unfortunately we got more than rain...
My family's farm just went through the worst hail storm in at least 60 years. Grass is wiped out. Cattle feed that was 5' tall was literally pounded into the ground.
The cattle ran through 3 fences trying to get away. When we finally found them they were bruised and bleeding from being pounded by hail.
The first two pictures are what's left of the feed and the last two are what's left of the grass... We figured about $30,000 lost.
Not including the feed that we'll have to buy over the winter for the cattle.
