1974 cb550 ignition coils

I discovered the other day my #1 cylinder was firing right, causing the right side of my carb to flood like crazy. Thought that maybe it was my spark plug, it wasn't. Touched all four of my exhaust pipes and the #1 pipe was cold. Took out the soak plug and kept it plugged to the wire and turned my bike on, there is no spark at all, but my #4 plug does spark. Is there an easy fix? Are my coils just bad, and if they are can someone direct to a website I can order some new ones please.

The caps come off screw them just like you would a nut/bolt. When you  get it off if it is long enough cut a 1/4 in off to get to clean wire.

Agree it could be the wiring, but if you verify bad coils, I put Dyna's 5 ohm coils (and new plug caps and wires)on my '74 550 and it made a huge difference in performance. Good luck.

Just swap 1 & 4 caps over & see if the misfire follows the caps. Maybe that simple.
