CB750 resurrection help

Bike- 1978 CB750K
Hi guys, new to this great site and sohc's.  I spend most of my free days wrenching on my British twins and triples but I got this 750/4 I'd like to resurrect.  I pulled the carbs out to clean them so I can start working out the bugs- including the fact some genius sealed the bowls with black RTV which ended up gumming the jets.  So as I'm looking at parts lists I notice the carbs are not like the ones in the manual.  After some research on the rack marked Keihin 42A xxx it looks as though they are not for the 750 K, but for an F model?  There is an accelerator pump on number two which was a clue to me.  So my question is will this rack work?  They are set up with pods instead of an airbox, 105 main jets and tied to the frame with a red shoe string- NO joke!.  I can fab up a bracket or something after a good cleaning but I don't want to waste my time if they are never going to work.

The other thing is I pulled the windjammer off to find a rats nest of wiring.  They bypassed the key switch so I hooked the power wires back to the key switch and lost all power.  The red wire shows 12 volts going to the switch but nothing is working.  Wondering if anyone has known problems with key switches or anything.

So there is a lot of work ahead but this thing is actually sweet.  Only 30k miles and in better than average, rust free condition.  THANKS for your suggestions!
