Blink already, for crying out loud!
« on: August 15, 2011, 07:02:46 AM »
Hi,

My turn signals are acting up. Sometimes it works fine. Sometimes when I turn the signal on, the beeping is normal (annoying) but the light's won't go on. Sometimes the beeping is a long drawn out wail (super annoying) and the lights will or won't work (depending on the phase of the moon). I know that it is affected by the motion and angle of the bike but the actions are inconsistent and unpredictable. Anybody know what's going on?
What am I doing and why am I doing it? Those are excellent questions.

As long as the bulbs are correct wattage and battery is charged, it seems like you have a bad ground.  Remove the bulbs and check the sockets, pull all the wires out and clean all the terminals, make sure the battery terminals and ground are clean.  A 750?  Larry

With the motor off or at idle my 750's would hardly blink at all with the OEM flasher.  I installed an electronic flasher and they work great now. If you want to turn off the annoying flasher alarm disconnect it in the headlight bucket.

Where did you buy the flasher Johnie and how much was it. Auto parts store? Think I would like to try a couple.

Eric...I got my flashers at NAPA but they are also at Autozone. Cost was about $11 and I put one in each 750. So nice to sit at a stop light and not have to manually flash my blinker.

Heffe it should beep/buzz each time the lights flash left or right. You can unplug it at the buzzer

Do you have a part number? I want to pick on up..

Go to any auto parts store and ask for a two prong electronic flasher, should be less that 10...Larry
