Topic: Noob Questions

Hello everyone,

I posted this over at hondacb650.com  too - sorry if anybody has to read this twice - just trying to get all the info I can.

New proud owner of an 82 CB650SC Nighthawk. My question is, which parts does my bike share with which others? For example, the double-piston calipers that appeared on this bike in '82- were they shared with other earlier or later Honda bikes? What about carbs? Ignition module? Stator? I understand this was the last year for the 650 SOHC engine...what is the same/different on my motor compared to a '79?

Also, I want to get a fairing, some crash guards and highway pegs. Which other CBs would have the same mounting as my bike for these items?

I have a fairing from my 75 550F... It isnt a Honda fairing, actually a highly collectible BMW fairing... At least that is what I have been told.. May fit, may not.. i wouldnt know though sorry.
