Topic: Will this headlight setup work, and what do you think

I was going to buy these ears:

And bolt these turn signals right into the headlight bucket, they are 10mm.

will that work, and will it screw up the ground since the nuts on the inside have grounds.  if those blinkers wont work any suggestions?  thanks.

Those turn signals should work. You can find these shaped turn signals from dime city. Not sure if they have chrome, mine are "billet" ones. I know for a fact they work. they are cheaper too. Make sure you get the 3 wire/dual filament type for the front running lights.

I have them on stock ears, so you may need ears with holes in them for options when you swap.

i was planning on bolting them straight into the headlight through the aftermarket ears.

it will work. that bolt will thread into the stock cb grounding bolt in the bucket, same thread pitch/size.

I have a similar setup on my 550 and it worked first time out.  The only potential problem I see is if you have to use the rubber spacer shown in the auction pic, it may screw up your ground.  Make sure the ones you're looking to buy are 35mm, or find some 35mm ones.  A quick search shows Mikes XS has them: http://www.mikesxs.net/products-77.html#product-09-0016

Those ones in mrrch's pic are the same ones I have. $16 at dime city, but again, make sure you get the dual filament for front, single for the back, if you are going for matching 4.

Mrrch, yup.  Thats exactly what im going for, updated but not weird new LEDs.  I just bought it all from dime city, along with a few other updates.  Ill post up a pic when done,  thanks for reminding me about the front dual filiments, i almost botched that.

ordered bracket from XS and lights from dime.  Hopfully have it done by the weekend.  Ill post up pics.  You think its easier to take the stock ears off from the top or bottom?  probably the top right?
